artist statement

Three things keep me intrigued and driven to make pots: 

1. the connection I have as the creator with the folks that use my work;

2. the process from idea to execution;

3. the interplay of art and technique needed to work in clay. 

My work has the clean, crisp lines of a modern aesthetic with subtle movement and variability that reveals the former softness of the clay and the work's handmade origins.
